Refund Policy

From WikiForge Hub

WikiForge acknowledges that in certain situations, users might want to request a refund for their wiki hosting plan. The following outline the circumstances in which a refund may be possible. As a general rule, refunds are given up to the last billing period, but in certain circumstances, a pro-rated refund may be issued.

In order to request a refund, please email [email protected] (note: we will eventually launch a web service for this) having read the circumstances in which refunds may be possible.

Refundable Circumstances

1. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with our services within the first 14 days of your subscription, you may be eligible for a full refund of the amount paid. However, If you have used the wiki subscription past the initial billing period, or have utilized the services extensively during the 14 day period, WikiForge may refuse a refund.

2. Major Technical Issues and/or Downtime

In order to be eligible for a refund due to significant technical issues affecting the wiki hosting service, it is crucial to provide verifiable technical evidence, including error messages or relevant documentation. This evidence should demonstrate notable incidents, such as complete downtime lasting at least 24 hours, consistent and recurring difficulties in editing or accessing wiki pages over an extended period, or similar substantial disruptions.

Please take into account that following MediaWiki upgrades, we allow a grace period of one month to address any resulting issues. While we have implemented multiversion support and some wikis may opt to delay upgrades until versions are no longer supported, by default, we endeavor to upgrade our wikis within 2-3 months after the release of each stable MediaWiki version. We diligently conduct extensive testing beforehand to minimize downtime. However, given the vast number of over 300 available extensions, there is a possibility that some issues may inadvertently be overlooked.

Please note that minor technical issues, such as errors on specific pages or disruptions caused by planned maintenance, are not covered under this refund policy. Our primary focus is to promptly resolve major technical issues and ensure a seamless user experience.

Non-Refundable Circumstances

The following circumstances are non-refundable, fully or partially:

1. Violations of Terms of Service

If you violate our Terms of Service and your account is suspended or your services are terminated as a result, you will not be eligible for refunds on any services linked to your account(s).

Modifications to the Refund Policy

WikiForge reserves the right to modify or update this refund policy at any time. If any changes are made, we will notify users through our website or via email.

As a general rule, any changes that are made to the Refund Policy will only apply after the next billing period has started.

Please note that this refund policy is subject to our Terms of Service, and any discrepancies will be resolved in accordance with the governing laws and regulations.
